Last evening, Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley reached a pretty huge milestone…15,000 “Likes” on Facebook. I am still amazed at the sheer growth of this Page since the beginning of the year. I am completely humbled by the kind words and encouragement from so many of you; it’s truly touching. I never imagined that this Page would work so well, so quickly, as it has since its inception back in June of 2012. Since the new year, word has spread about how well and efficient this new Page on Facebook was working and within a few months, LPOTHV was reaching well over 200,000 people per week with its posts. People from all over the Hudson Valley, New York State, all across the Country and Overseas, started to follow and share posts on a daily basis. It is a beautiful thing when everyone comes together to help a stranger in need. It’s so easy to click “share” and help spread the word about a missing/found pet. Sharing posts works and works so well. So many pets are reunited with their families because someone shared a post from the Page. The more people that are aware of the Page and the more people that share, the more pets that will be found and brought back home safe. Let’s keep this going and I look forward to the next big milestone.
