Welcome and thank you for being a part of ‘Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley’. We have had so many new fans join our Facebook Page of late, that I thought now would be a great opportunity to tell you all how to best utilize our Page to help a missing or found pet.

If you find a pet and cannot immediately locate the family, please post a picture, with all of the vital information (Town/City you live in, a contact number/e-mail address to best reach you if the family is located) and if you cannot hold onto the pet, please call your local Dog Warden/Animal Control Officer. The list of the ACO/DCO’s in the Hudson Valley are listed in the “About” section of our Facebook Page. If/When someone comes forward for the pet in question, please be careful and use your judgement to make sure that the person(s) coming forward are in fact, the actual family of this pet. Pictures, Vet records, etc., are all great ways to verify that the right people are coming forward for this pet.

If you lose your pet and cannot immediately find them, please come directly to our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/LostPetsOfTheHudsonValley?ref=hl and post a picture, the street he/she was last seen on, your Town/City, and most importantly, a contact number/e-mail address, so that we can get you in touch with the right people ASAP, if your pet is found. It is also wise to call your local Vet offices/Animal shelters/Dog Warden, etc., to alert them of this, in case someone finds your pet and brings them to any of the above mentioned parties.

Pets are family and in those early moments of realizing that your pet is missing, we can sometimes feel paralyzed and unsure of what to do. I am hoping that this information will be of use to anyone who ever has to deal with this scary situation. We at ‘Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley’, have had enormous success in helping get the word out in just minutes to 25,000 people (and more with each post share) and have helped reunite countless families with their four-legged family members. In just over two-years, ‘Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley’ has become the “go-to” place to help get information out about a missing/found pet. We pray that no one ever has to go through this heartbreaking and scary situation, but if it ever happens, we are here to help you and quickly.
