OTHER INFO:
Our Angel, a five-year-old, 9lbs, white fluff-flopper with splotchy hind markings and cornflower blue eyes, went missing from our Bearsville, NY yard near the end of May. His name is Angel (for reasons that clear upon meeting him,) however we often called him Pig Diesel because he has some breathing trouble and his snore sounds like a cyborg pig running on diesel fuel. He is an indoor guy who moved from New York City this past September. Come spring, he was more than curious about the Hudson Valley birds – he may have wanted to become a bird — it may be that Angel can become whatever he desires — and he flew out the window when we weren’t looking. We last saw him in our yard on the dawn of June 3rd. He was bickering over some tuna with our other cat, Dink. Our neighbors have seen him around since, but it’s been several days now and we dearly would like to know.
Sadly, we lost our 11-year-old Dink when she was struck by a vehicle on June 8th. It’s been very difficult for us grieving over a loved one while there is still so much ambiguity around Angel’s disappearance. It’s likely that he met the same fate as our dear Dink, or perhaps Angel encountered a varmint that was envious of his large belly. He’s not much of a fighter, but he has a lot of life in him — I would not be surprised if a possum returned him to the stars. Or perhaps he is injured, afraid, hiding under someone’s porch. There’s also a fair chance he made new friends down the road — he’s very personable and rolls over for anyone with a kind voice and food to share.
He’s microchipped, and if someone brought him or his body to a shelter or vet, it would give us great relief. Thank you for keeping an eye out — the slightest of clues would be of interest to us, so please feel free to reach out with any information about him.
