Lost dog yesterday (10/29) on Break Neck Trail (between Cold Spring and Beacon, NY). 14-pound terrier mix named Poppy.
We were ascending the Red Trail when she got spooked and went flying down the trail. About half way back down, hikers coming up said they had not seen a dog so as best I can estimate, she vanished off the trail some where off the red trail. We looked for to her until dusk but she never turned up. She is a recent rescue who is very untrusting of people and frighted by other dogs so she may be hard to approach. She is microchipped and has a dog tag with a phone number.
