I live in Stony Point, near the town center, and caught a small black cat with a white patch on her chest today. I believe she’s a girl, but I’m not 100% sure.
She looks exactly like our black cat, and we thought he had gotten out. Once we caught her, we realized that she wasn’t ours!
She is skittish, but relatively friendly. She hasn’t growled, hissed or clawed us at all. When I pet her, she responds lovingly and purrs! This makes me think she could belong to someone.
We have her safe in our bathroom with food, water and litter. I’m going to try to make a vet appointment to get her seen and scanned for a microchip.
I hope she finds her owners if they are out there, if not, we are happy to keep her. We are avid cat lovers and have three!
