This pretty guy flew into our shed over a week ago - he’s not at all wanting to leave (I keep the door open all day) - he does not have a leg band & doesn’t seem injured at all … he flies around with no problem.
After seeing a post about a parakeet that's been outside since 10/12, I thought maybe my Birdie did survive. So, as a last effort to see if miracles do happen, I'm posting a better picture of him.
Bird flew out of house in Highland.
Found this little guy in Carmel, NY. Very hungry but seems otherwise uninjured.

He flew out this morning 9/11/2024 in the area of Monticello. His name is chichi and he is a Quaker parrot, his color is blue, he talks and he is 8 months old. I have him seen he was born. I live in Ossining.
My dad's roommate found a parakeet at her job today in Balmville.
Lost pigeon hanging out on my deck. He was thirsty and hungry (I fed him/her). No markings or identification bracelet/leg bands. Near Route 300 and Forest Road.
