OTHER INFO:
Our dear little black kitty, “Stitch” got out of the house on Friday evening (we didn’t see her sneak out). On Saturday morning at around 7am, we looked out the window and saw her jump out of a tree into our yard and begin stalking some birds (she was clearly having a blast–she’s an indoor cat). We went outside to try to coax her to come back, but she bolted into the woods and hasn’t come back. She doesn’t have a collar and hasn’t been treated for fleas/ticks, so we’re very worried. Our house is located at 26 Maple Avenue in Highland, NY. She was last seen bolting into our neighbor’s woods (he has 5 acres, we have two). There aren’t many houses between ours and the river, but there’s lots of robust wildlife (turkeys, foxes, owls, etc.). She does have claws, but she’s always been an indoor cat (though it’s been clear for a while that she’s wanted to go outside too). She has very round, large, green eyes and her fur is shiny and black with a tiny patch of white on her chest that’s so small, you might miss it. She’s also small (we believe she was the runt of the littler). She weighs about 6 lbs and is about a year and a half old.

Don’t know if you found her, but I saw a cat like this behind New Paltz Gardens complex. Someone feeds feral cats in the small woods behind buildings 8 and 10.
